Christopher Cameron is a history professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is the author of To Plead Our Own Cause: African Americans in Massachusetts and the Making of the Antislavery Movement (Kent State University Press, 2014). Cameron is currently an NEH Fellow at the Massachusetts Historical Society, where he is conducting research for a book on liberal religion and American slavery.
